Paraiba Tourmaline, Paraiba Round, Paraiba 5mm, Paraiba Neon Color, Brazilian Paraiba, Paraiba Copper Bearing
These tourmaline is from Paraiba Brazil (not Mozambique) and copper bearing. This piece is turquoise, right in the middle between more blueish and more greenish. It is part of a new batch that my supplier got, old material but recently cut. This is the only faceted piece I have. The other two are greenish and are cabochons. The piece is a little more included. Grading of paraibas is done based on color first, clarity second. The more blue, the more expensive. And if it's blue and clean, it is very expensive. The piece was reasonable by paraiba standards. I included on photo in full sun. In my view, paraibas look best in late afternoon or morning sunlight in winter, when the light is warm and yellow.
This piece isn't certified but I can certify if it you like. You'd be getting a little gem card from GAL. It would take an extra few days though. I can set this into my Camellia ring, sunflower rings, the 5mm hexagon ring, I can fit it into the fishtail ring, and I have a few other options for grander layouts.
So here are the specs:
