Diopside and Burma Spinel Lariat Style Necklace in 14 Kt White and Rose Gold
This three stone lariat was made with one of my Tanzanian diopside princess cuts that just kept sitting in the shop, so I decided to show it off better. The gem is 6mm across, master cut (by Brett Kosnar) and set into a 14 Kt white gold bezel. The two little kites hold Burmese spinels, approximately 2mm in size. Neither gem is heated or treated in any other way. The kites are 14 kt rose gold and the two tone 14 kt gold chain literally glitters in the sun - without however taking away from the center stone. I was tempted to keep this piece. It doesn't photograph as beautifully as it looks on the neck. It's perfect for summer.
The necklace itself is 16 inches long. The lariat adds another 1.5 inches to that. The piece should be worn higher on the neck so that there is space for the lariat to drop down.
