Antique Style 9 Stone Ring in 14 K Rose Gold with Kornerupine, Tanzanite and Burmese Spinel
This ring was inspired by a 1920s art deco ring that I saw on eBay. My design is just high enough to fit a wedding band underneath it so it can function as an engagement ring. The gems are Kornerupine (no treatment), Tanzanite (heated) and Burmese Spinel (no treatment). The top of the ring is 12mm across and the corners are slightly flared out. The casting is actually in two pieces and then fit and soldered together so that you have a gallery with a pretty underside. The casting is in 14 Kt Rose Gold.
I want to draw your attention to the setting work as well. Before the gems go in, this ring is a totally flat surface with 9 pre-drilled holes. All the bead work, which replicates the pattern of the original art deco ring, is applied by hand with a tiny engraver. Pierre, my setter, has to work under a microscope to do this, and it requires a lot of experience. He has previously done work for Cartier and Tiffany and it shows.
The ring is a size 7 1/4. There is a resizing fee of $20 for gold and sizing takes about a week.

I can do this ring in other colors and metals.
